All three bands performed for Macclesfield Lions at the Kings School 19th July 2014
All three bands gave a very warm and excellent concert for a large and appreciate audience at the Kings School Macclesfield. Photos from the evening can be seen at; Macclesfield
Chris Thompson, Beginner Band MD said "Very proud of the beginner band last night. Possibly the hardest programme they've ever played and they rose to it! Well done all of you!"
Tom Hancock, Junior Band MD said " Probably the best Lions Junior Brass performance of the year, fantastic playing, well done to all. So many good comments and I even signed an autograph!!"
Steve Barwick, Junior Band Tutor said "Sounded good from all 3 bands tonight. Special thanks to Ruth Rhodes for lending me her flugel"
William Dakin gave another memorable sop sole and received a number of glowing comments from the audience.
Lions Youth Brass were delighted to be presented with their annual donation from Macclesfield Lions
The organiser Arthur Clenton said " A superb Concert last night and a great big thank you to all those who helped on the night. In financial terms the donations and the raffle took £977.40 which is up some £80 on last year."
